Survival Guide

Get the info!

The fact that a Survival Guide is required at all should make it obvious that embarking on a journey to the Tankwa Karoo to collaborate in creating this event deserves some serious consideration. To be truly prepared, download and read the guide and devour it cover to cover – reading it (or not) and using the info to plan appropriately is the difference between surviving and thriving in an extreme environment. When you’ve read it, please share it with anyone you know that could use the info.

In 2019, we’re again very happy to have our Survival Guide available in English, Afrikaans and isiXhosa. To read & download the Guide in the language that suits you best, click that cover here:

Massive thanks to everyone involved – including volunteer designer Ashleigh Pauls and also to translators Nokubonga Vusani and Nicci Van Noordwyk for helping us get this document into 3 languages!

As with every year’s event, there’s a bunch of important info and updates that you should read – even if you’re a veteran. If you’d like a printed version, pick one up at Off-Centre Camp, or at our event gate, along with the poster and WTF Guide, at the event.

psst: is it possibly your first time at a burn? Yes? You should read this too.
