Notice of Annual General Meeting 2020

Our Annual General Meeting is held in October each year – and this year, it will be held on Saturday October 24th.

It’s when the Members, Directors and interested community participants review the financial statements and formally adopt them. In addition, it’s the time of the year where we appoint Directors and Members and formally attend to the statutory needs of the AfrikaBurn non-profit company.

Everyone is invited (and are welcome to participate or volunteer in the preparations and planning). However, only Members are able to vote, and participation is limited to Agenda items during the session.

As this year is a bit different, based on the number of responses, and restrictions and responsibilities around COVID-19, we will likely host a large portion of the meeting online, and ensure it’s accessible for everyone else. There is a chance it’s an entirely online meeting – but this will be confirmed closer to the time.

When: Saturday 24th October, 9am – 4pm
Where: AfrikaBurn HQ, 8 Junction Rd, Salt River, Cape Town
Online meeting link (for participants who’ve RSVPed): TBC
Online streaming link (to view only): TBC
RSVP: [email protected]

We will add the Agenda, as well as any further information as it becomes available. If you have anything you would like to add to the agenda, please contact [email protected].
If you would like any further information on how AfrikaBurn is managed, or how the organisation is structured – please check here. There’s a lot more info under the About section of the website too – but if your questions remain unanswered, please mail us on [email protected]
